Inquired about this and was told there was an irregularity in the fat content of the milk shipment. The plot thickens. Or thins? Wasn't really clear.

I am incredibly proud that my book, co-authored with Andrea Aldrich, is published. Using an original party leadership dataset from 11 parliamentary democracies, Andrea and I show that women candidates face a glass ceiling for leadership and quickly sink once elected (the quicksand theory).

The worst happened. We were DOGE’d. Our NSF funding is gone.

So now there’s nothing stopping me from sharing Expert Voices Together, a crisis response system for US-based researchers and journalists facing harassment.

It's a true passion project. 🧵 1/

Research article "A Look Back At 20 Years of Research on Gender and Voting in Politics & Gender" by Erin C. Cassese & Amanda Friesen.
Abstract reads: This essay highlights the impact of Politics & Gender on the discipline’s understanding of how gender shapes the preferences, behavior, and motivations of voters. It provides descriptive information about the prevalence of research on gender and voting in the journal, along with the proportion of articles dedicated to women voters across different regions globally. The bulk of the essay focuses on the substance of this research — drawing out major themes and identifying significant contributions within each theme — and it concludes by offering a future research agenda on gender and voting.
