Just this guy who does fractal art, birding and has an addiction to making tools to support the FFXIV RP community. (https://ffxiv-rp.org)
I personally use Trello and have it published its due dates to a Google Calendar. A calendar alone isn't enough for me to keep track of larger tasks that need to be broken down.

We did fly to the end of the universe to punch the incarnation of despair until it found hope again.

That is the definition of tacky. I'm sorry you're running into that Sounsyy.

Today I learned...Well, now there's one fewer person who didn't know.

I've not really paid much attention to trivia around the movies.

Don't get me wrong, they shouldn't get a pass for this.

There's work that could be done on the client for better resilience to mitigate it and I'm certain pressure to put on the provider to do better as well.

There's never really a 'nothing we can do' point, it's 'nothing we have the will to do'.

XIV isn't the only one, just for most us cases it's barely perceptible. To a website or an API, the next request just routes correctly. Something with better connection resilience (like the PSN XIV client) you get a spike of really bad lag for a short while.

We get silly 1k person queues instead.

To my knowledge it is on an NTT node. Their DDOS protection more or less works. Just it is not good for what FFXIV needs to maintain its connections. Services are back up almost immediately.

Not an excuse for not pressuring them to do better or working to make connections more resilient, however.

So this is the Alexandrian version of Ishgard... Robotic, religious penguins makes perfect sense.

That piece though, it's 11 years old.

My muse for creating art has escaped me for some time now, replaced by other fights that needed fighting. I'm hoping to find some time to devote to it again, but we shall see what the year brings.
