I was dreaming a little kid was showing me his collection of tiny things, one of my favorite things!

My brain finally figured out that the sounds of him showing me his treasures were actually the sounds of my cat rifling through my now-open jewelry box for things to pilfer. Not a favorite thing!

A male snowshoe Siamese cat with big blue eyes & a soul full of mischief has been wrapped up in packaging paper so he looks a bit like a burrito.

The building may have been selected for the raid bc bankers and realtors wanted it empty. A Brazil (movie)-like collaboration btwn bureaucrats, capitalists, and fascists that I don't think we're ready to deal with.

I want the bunnies to share their hutch with the bobcat & the bobcat has been very amenable to the idea but the bunnies keep screaming & running away & being rude

I like Bluesky & I don't want to migrate to another site but the owners seem to have a pattern of taking minority users for granted.

Unless leadership has a word with itself & corrects course, bigots will keep manufacturing conflict for attention+💰 & Bluesky will eventually become diet Xitter

An apple & peach bowl I made in the pottery studio, to play with my underglaze pens. I loved how the speckled clay worked on the apple.

The tech said they hadn't heard of that problem yet, but then when she was checking where the lot number was on the tubes she had there for me, the tube she grabbed randomly was super loose & leaked when she gently squeezed it.

They're replacing them for free, which is a good incentive to call.

Spent the $$$ on the flea meds for the cats to finish off this terrible flea season for good & 2 of the $$ tubes weren't crimped right & the liquid shot back onto ME instead of the cat😭

Of course it was with the two least agreeable cats.

Called in the lot # so the vet would know something's up

I worked the 2010 census under Obama in a rural red area with no cell coverage. I was contacted to run a census area as management for 2020 & there wasn't enough money in the world to do it in the even crazier red area & a crazier time. God knows what 2030 will look like.

Because we were so rural, my only exposure to the majority of TV shows & kids properties was through the rush job books that they would put out, which led to some pretty confusing & incorrect assumptions.

My dad always said the average person only really has about a 6 foot eyeline. 3 feet above their eyes & 3 feet below their eyes.

Now he was born before Google & had a lot of dubious facts ;) but I've seen this play out & it's a good reminder to widen our awareness.

Then the fried tenderloin with apples, mashed potatoes & gravy, & candied sweet potatoes. With an orange blossom.

THEN the caramel custard cup & a coffee w/creme de cacao for dessert.

I'd been wanting to build a flower press & saw one at the thrift store missing some fittings. Trip to the hardware store & a whopping $2.50 later & I have an expandable vintage flower press for $7.50!

My husband picked new larger washers to spread the pressure to protect the corners #ErynThrifts

A gray kitty, who is a notorious plastic bag biter, checks out the little parts bag from the hardware store and the wooden flower press. The press has a Goodwill sticker with a $4.99 price on it.

The vintage flower press disassembled. It is decorated with a pansy motif & says Flower & Leaf Press by Woodkrafter Kits in a vintage style. Below it is a pile of hardware, bolts, wingnuts & washers. Next to it is a typed & risographed copy of the typed directions.
