Or it’s three different directors reading the same thing?

Thats the problem. Sites aren’t worth ppl’s time from either side unless there is a critical mass. But neither side gets to that critical mass without the other…. LL only made it because it happened to be there just in time, when backpages got shut down. I’m not sure what happens now.

It certainly should, it’s about property ownership not whether the owning organization is for-profit or not.

Heh “secure” …. It’s not secure, it’s cloud dependent. And yeah, from what I can tell it’s harder than getting outta your knots to make a modern windows system not be cloud-dependent… :/

It’s gotta be web, huh? I’m still a fan of Thunderbird as thick client, all the mail and none of the web.

When is the documentation pages that -look like- they’re supposed to be linked on docs.urlittlesecret.com but aren’t even buttons right now, going to be published? Help and support is really not-useful when it doesn’t exist, especially the one on “trust”
Help Center
Find quick answers, helpful guides, and support resources.

And what jurisdiction(s) are the servers in (because that matters)?

Do you have a FAQ?

- how do you do identity verification (to prevent fake profiles)?
- what sort of transparency is there in operations to confirm user data won’t be sold or wrongly used?
- what controls do users have on their data to guarantee it’s solely in their control (actually deleted, etc)?

The main thing to worry about with the switch to Linux is what applications you want to run. If you’re already using F/OSS apps (libreoffice, gimp, chrome/firefox, etc) then you will have no issues at all. On the other hand, windows proprietary applications will be a PITA to impossible to use.

I guess you’re fully invested in Windows, huh…?
