Music Producer, Songwriter, Vsinger, Multi-Instrumentalist. Hoping I can make the next beautiful thing you hear!
I've been challenged to write a country song for day 2. 😬

We'll see how this goes!

Starting another song a day challenge for the next 5 days. Pray for me.

I HIT A NEW GOAL IN MY JAPANESE LEARNING!~
I'm at the point now where I can kinda think about some things & plan in Japanese. Not needing to say it out loud to work through the meaning. Maybe it's not massive, but it feels big to me! 💚

I've learned recently that my version of locking in usually has me staying up 30+ hours. Is it healthy? No. Was it effective? Absolutely.

If I could learn how people are able to master placement for vocals on the fly, I'd be unstoppable.

I recently tried a Song-A-Day Songwriter Challenge. The goal was to complete 30 days, but due to some medical issues, it ended up being only 10...

THAT BEING SAID, I see this as nothing but an absolute win. Truly, I think I unlocked a new level by doing this & I plan to do it again in the future.

No one tells you how much personal & emotional growth hurts.

Like yes it's mostly good because you are becoming better & understanding yourself better..... But why does it have to hurt so much? 😭

My vocabulary is at MINIMUM 10% things I used to say as a joke until they breached containment. 😂 The meme brain rot is too strong.

Working on finishing some Alt Rock songs that I'm very excited for! But....

My heart yearns to make 90's/00's princess pop/R&B.

Like, you're telling me I met some of the most incredible people in my life on a random Tuesday? I didn't even have to plan for it?
I wrote one of my favorite recent songs on a random Friday?
I made a personal breakthrough on a random Sunday?
It's so.... Liberating.

One lesson that I'm trying to internalize lately, is that it's the random days that make the difference.

You can spend hours, weeks, months planning for specific days to be special but 9/10 times, the truly special stuff just happens on a day you wouldn't expect or plan on.

PayPal me one dollar and I will send you an idea. Five dollars and you get to tell me what the idea is about. Ten dollars and the idea won’t be terrible.

Please. I have so many ideas
I saw someone say AI is useful because it generates ideas. My dude, I'm full of ideas. I have docs and docs marked under 'ideas.' I have outlines and fragments of stuff I might work on. Trunked stories galore. Even if I continue to write a novel a year for the next 40 years I won't run out of ideas.

Love this. In his “I Agree” installation Dima Yarovinsky-Yahel took the content from terms of service statements for companies like Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Tinder and printed them out on A4 paper with a standard font size for legal contracts to demonstrate the length of these agreements.

Indie games aren't even indie games anymore dawg. Between this and Expedition 33, AAA wishes it had this much depth and polish

This just makes me feel miserable. Dan said it perfectly, spiritual death.
Gonna be real with you, this feels like an advertisement for spiritual death

I thought the eventual collapse of the trucking industry was going to be driverless cars in 10-20 years. Little did past me know.
People really don't realize that the collapse of trucking is the collapse of multiple industries.
The freight guys have really started freaking out over the past 48-72 hours:

Disclaimer: I'm not defending the practice BUT
Pretty much every store front & company has been saying this for years. It feels weird that we are suddenly getting mad at Ubisoft for the practice when they are far from the progenitor of it.

Wait so you can make incredible media with sustainable budgets??? Someone tell the C-suite!
Flow was made in Blender and cost only $3.7 million -- but it defeated Hollywood at the Oscars.

This is a huge moment for its team. It's just as huge for European animation, and the ecosystem that nurtured Flow, Robot Dreams and so many other films: animationobsessive.substack.com/p/flow-takes...

These were all American devs. This is your warning that American Game Dev as we know it is dying. Why would China continue to outsource work to us when they are starting to get senior devs locally with 10+ years of experience on Multi-billion dollar franchises?
