The “fewer people to discover new ideas” argument is inane. Creating the conditions in which discoveries can be made, nurtured, and developed is way more important.

I get your point. But I don’t much care how I look to them. And not sure that saying “sorry, I’m not engaging with you looks weak or stupid anyway. I think the argument could go either way though. So keep up the good fight, however you do it!
