I'm quite late on this, but the world is crazy, so my apologies.

I just learned that Laralyn McWilliams passed away back in 2024. They had an incredible career and I used to follow them on Twitter.

Terribly sorry to learn they're gone.
Laralyn McWilliams was a game designer. The photo shows them speaking at a conference. She has short cut gray hair, glasses, and the hint of a smile.

So, the other day I finished the complete draft of a novel I've been writing. It took me five years and five months but I did it. It stars this lady, Penny Issagloria, and it's set in a world where money is magic, and debt is a curse.

Stumbled on an old treasure map I was working on for Thing 12 Games. I really need to find the original working file...

Swordtember, Day 26: Candy. Today's prompt was supposed to be Harpy, but I already did a bird design with Owl, so someone who had asked for a. Candy sword got their wish.
A gummie, candy sword. The blade looks like a cocktail skewer, the handle is made of sugar-crusted gumdrops, and the scabbard is made from a licorice whip.

A bubble wand shaped like a sword. The cross guard is made from bottles of Mr. Bub, and a long trail of bubbles are looping lazily around the blade.

Thanks again for all the love. Here's a random selection of drawings that never got used for one reason or another.

A sword made to look like a swan. The neck goes up and back down to form the two sides of the blade. The cross guard is formed from the wings and an embossed scroll with the word, "Lohengrin" on it.

This sword challenge has been extremely good for me. I haven't drawn this regularly since I had a day job that I de-stressed at by drawing post-it-note doodles.
A concrete SQR Bot with an electric firefly build. A pair of interlinked concrete SQR Bots where one is assembled as a high powered turret and the other is its scope/spotter. A concrete SQR Bot that's been set up as a huge door with a keypad for a mouth. A concrete SQR Bot with an antigravity ring, acts as a cargo lifter maybe?

A chrome sword hilt and cross guard are consumed by a blooming rose where the blade would be. In it's place, petals are being plucked from the flower by the wind before swirling up to form the weapon's rough silhouette.
