When I was in highschool we read The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I hated every minute of it because it spoke to me deeply and I knew if I listened, it would change me, and I wasn’t ready for it. If I could recommend one book to everyone in this thread, it’s that one. It WILL change you for the better

- because supporting others right now is desperately important - but I also have learned the hard way that you cannot pour from an empty cup and flight attendants mean it when they say to put on your own oxygen mask first. So: joy, in the face of hopelessness. Joy.
