I am getting this impression all over the game lately, honestly. Everywhere is this pervasive sense that a crew has co-opted the game and its races and aesthetics and have supplanted it all with their OCs. Void Elves to start, dracthyr, haranir, all of Shadowlands. Identity subversion everywhere.

One of the most telling ways in which Warcraft is changed is how many sayings in the series are explicit or implicit calls for retribution, vengeance, etc.

Dalaran is the only real loss suffered since BfA, and the story's stance on it is that it actually kind of sucked and you need to get over it.

I don't like the source of the quote, but it's entirely in line with what has been directly said or suggested. Lore speculation based on stuff Danuser seeded seems increasingly futile to me when it becomes more and more clear that Metzen didn't care for it.

Enjoying Siren Isle so far, though I wish the lore dumps were paced out a bit better. It's well integrated into the history and vrykul vs. naga is a cool matchup.

That said, and I know the Kul Tiran part of the story is small, but it feels like Kul Tiras has sort of cannibalized Gilneas's niche.

Setting back up here. Had a bunch of scattered TWW thoughts but those have long left my memory so we're back onto whatever comes to mind.
