What makes a journal #DiamondOA?
To be included in the DDH, six criteria are considered:
🔸 Persistent identification
🔸 Scholarly journal
🔸 #OpenAccess with open licences
🔸 No author fees
🔸 Open to all authors
🔸 Community-owned

The DIAMAS recommendation:
🔸 Fund a study to map society-led publishing
🔸 Give them access to EDCH services
Support for societies = support for sustainable Open Access.

These societies often run journals with unpaid labour, minimal infrastructure and limited capacity to grow.
Still, they support entire academic fields. That model needs support.

But many operate without stable funding or technical support.
