Tim Davie was one of the best D-Gs the BBC has had, and Deborah Turness was a brilliant head of news. Only the BBC’s enemies could possibly be glad they’ve resigned. We’ve now got a real fight on our hands to defend public service broadcasting, because that’s under threat too.

Keir Starmer is offering tech bros at Amazon and Meta a massive tax cut to get a trade deal with Trump - while cutting disability benefits for 1.2million people.

He’s slashing disability benefits while giving tax cuts to people who could buy entire countries.

Such an annoying critique of big infrastructure plans - 'but it'll take years for it to be built/make a difference'. Yes! That's why stuff needs to get started & why governments need to look beyond one political cycle. Otherwise we just end up 20 years later in the same position.

And THAT is exactly how people with a huge sense of entitlement regularly behave when they get caught out.
