🏡 On this first ever #WorldVacantHomesDay, we highlight one of the biggest contradictions of our time: too many homes without people, too many people without homes.

🇪🇺 EU countries must prioritise renovating & reallocating vacant houses for social housing.

Unfortunately, the other big winners of the Czech elections are the populists & far-right, with multiple right-wing populist parties increasing their support.

All democratic political forces must ensure sustained, serious scrutiny of the next government, to avoid another Viktor Orbán situation.

The changes in the EU’s budget threaten to cut their funding & ability to take climate action & react to extreme weather events.

🌻 Cleaner air, safer streets: this is what we want, at a local, national and European level.

Denying humanitarian aid is part of the genocide against the Palestinian people. It is a war crime.

We stand with the Global Sumud Flotilla & all the activists on board as they attempt to deliver aid to Gaza.

They must be afforded safe passage.

😢 How are flights so much cheaper than trains?
Indeed, why are we forced to pick between cheap & polluting and expensive & sustainable?

Well @greenpeace.eu has the answer: subsidies and MASSIVE tax breaks.

Over 80% of Europeans think climate action is a priority but national governments have failed to deliver.

EU environment ministers decided not to commit to a climate plan for the next 10 years.

National governments (starting with France, Poland and Germany) need to step up.
