What’s the word where you’re from that, when pronounced exactly as it looks, identifies a tourist immediately?

Feels like a very impressive achievement to immediately follow up an album as great as Ferried Away with one as [on first listen] apparently great as this one

"Why are we stopping at the bank?"

"This is the venue. This is where we're playing."

"Landmark Credit Union Live?"

yeah ironically "quick and easy access to Chicago" is one of the things that makes Milwaukee great

10/10, no note. Just a great, classic, timeless name for a concert venue, the name sells itself really

The percentage of people who wished they lived in Chicago has got be... maybe statistically zero? Like I'm sure there may be some, but Chicago envy is not remotely a real thing here

Paul Sullivan in the Tribune this morning. Dumb as hell. Milwaukee thanks Chicago for burning down in 1871, which made it the beer capital of the world. Beyond that they appreciate being so near to Chicago. They don't resent it. If anything they want to be more like the Milwaukee of 1960.
Sullivan's theory that Milwaukee fans resent Chicago as a world class city, while Milwaukee has The Fonz, and they should get over losing Craig Counsell.

Yes, I like wearing sweaters, too. That’s what the next six, sunlight-starved months are for.

Congrats to everybody who was somehow burdened by mild 82 degree weather. The scourge of being able to sit on patios is over.

Even by Milwaukee’s very high fall standards, this one has been exceptional

My 85-degree October Saturday:

✅ 3 hours at Lincoln Park
✅ Beat Street Harvest Festival
✅ Listen to Brewers demolish Cubs while putting up Halloween decorations
✅ Sink my feet into Lake Michigan one last time at South Shore Park

Perfect day.
