I mentioned earlier, Vixen’s range in emotions for Gangle is incredibly vast, which for a character that goes from being able to change emotions on a dime to being more developed later on, that’s very important!
I’m not an expert at analyzing VA work, but I hope I explained myself well.

I mentioned earlier, Vixen’s range in emotions for Gangle is incredibly vast, which for a character that goes from being able to change emotions on a dime to being more developed later on, that’s very important!

Despite just being a deeper version of her regular voice, Ashley does an incredible job at disappearing into the role, and based on livestreams, does a lot of preparation in the episodes to make Zooble sound just right, props for how much effort she puts into Zooble!

Both Ashley & Vixen go for differently-toned voice directions that are both great for their characters.
Gangle sounding higher-pitched & energetic, while also doing an incredible job at sounding sad when needed. Zooble sounds more grouchy, yet can well-shift tones too.

That said, I want to make something clear, these characters are written deeper than “gimmicks to aid arcs.” They both have personalities that go beyond that. They are actual characters with interests, likes, dislikes, etc.

Gangle being able to extend her ribbon body was such a smart decision for her character from the pilot! She’s the one character in the show that could have fallen down the gloink pit the way she did!
And the extra touch of the mask bounce is also great, taking advantage of the entire design.
