I just randomly discovered that Magda Szubanski has stage 4 mantle cell lymphoma (rare blood cancer that's spread) & is undergoing treatment.

It was found when she had a breast screening done & they found abnormal lymph nodes. 😞

I hope she'll be ok.

Get your mammogram done....

Supporters of the nincompoop can be found everywhere, even in Colombia

There's a family here that literally said. We weren't fans before, but now we are. They like to wear shirts with MAGA stuff on it like "Florida vs All Y'All" too.

I guess some people like to advertise their lack of humanity

I am relived & sad today about the Election.

Carney won which is great, but it did come at great cost to some of the other parties.

I hope that this doesn't mean we are forever stuck with 2 parties like the USA, we can all see how crap that is

167.... will the Liberals get the 5 seats they need to be a majority?

Icing on the cake would be PP losing his seat 🤞
April 29, 2025 at 6:33 AM
Votes are still being counted, which will help to determine if it's a majority.

Nice to see Mark Carney made it. Shame that so many NDP areas are now conservative. I feel for Jagmeet 😞

Please don't screw this up Canada.

Watching the polls, as the very slim margins between PP & Carney get even slimmer.

I don't understand how anyone could be a PP fan when he's such a terrible human. Same goes for DT fans though too

WTF???

It isn't even a part of the government. They get some funding from Congress, but this is ridiculous.

Have to admit I laughed when I first saw this & had to fact check that it was indeed true.

The guy is so out of touch, it feels like he keeps looking to the USA for inspiration

One can only hope his desperation is apparent enough that people vote to keep him out of office

Disappointed to discover how many PP & DT fans we know, given both have been pretty good at showing who they are as individuals.
Some friendships will never be the same from this, no matter what the outcome politically.

We have one job, lets not screw this one up.

There really is only one person fit to be Prime Minister of Canada, who is equipped to deal with the the task at hand.

Mark Carney is that guy.

We all need to get out & vote. Don't leave it to chance.

Grateful that I can vote whilst in Colombia

Here's to Canada's continued sovereignty!

Guess whose postal vote is on the way (after over 2 weeks wondering if I was ever going to see anything).

This election, I'll be voting for the Canada 🇨🇦 that I value (hint that means voting to retain sovereignty).

I am Canadian!
April 4, 2025 at 3:34 PM
I got called Canadian as an insult recently.

I actually said thank you. I'm pretty proud to be Canadian.

As a collective, we stand up, speak out, don't take crap from others & think about the needs of others.

Some don't see the value in those qualities, but for me, I'm super proud! 🇨🇦

This is a good thread to explain the bigger picture (not pretty) behind these ridiculous tarrifs
Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive.

No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief.

1/ A 🧵 to explain his plan and how we fight back.
