Is it me or are the recent episodes of Pointless wildly out of sequence?

We saw The Penguin Lessons tonight. I must say the more I see if Steve Coogan's work, the more impressed I am.
Except Alan Partridge.

The speed of this is insane.
15mm scale, 3H25M expected.

Nominations closed on 31st January 2025.
The fact that Trump lost the Nobel Peace Prize to a full-on Trump supporter but she happens to be a Venezuelan woman is extra-funny coz it means the panel just disliked HIM personally as a guy.

Is that really so?
Current estimates put it more on a par with a Google search. Google hasn't published their energy stats since 2009. They now use AI in their searches too.
Water usage may be more nuanced.

@octopus.energy thank you to Rachael in my Support Team who managed to hit the virtual TV in the right spot and got my export tariff working. I hope I spelled your name correctly.

Seen on the promenade at Burnham on Sea today. These two plaques commemorate the 50 old destroyers gifted to Britain by President Roosevelt in 1940. They materially helped us defend the ships bringing essential supplies across the Atlantic. Each one was renamed, including one as HMS Burnham.

There's so much I'd not appreciated from my first watching of The Expanse.
Like the Razorback ship was Julie Mao's.

Still watching The Expanse a second time.
A quote from Naomi stuck me in series two.
"Every shitty thing we do makes the next one a bit easier. "

Karawansay's latest email has this pithy comment about the TV series King and Conqueror.
"The series is fun... if you are willing to completely turn your brain off."

The washing didn't dry yesterday as I'm too tight to use the tumble dryer.
Hence today's socks feature a cartoon mouse on skis.

I just realised it's only 500 years until the start of the Zager and Evans song.

For no immediate reason I've started watching The Expanse again.
I was immediately reminded what a great series this is. The details are myriad. Like the way bodies behave in zero G and under artificial gravity.
I'm also struck by how much I'd either forgotten or failed to notice the first time.

#Human on BBC2 is a really good watch. Now we find that homo sapiens are the Borg of humans. We have assimilated both Neanderthals and Denisovans.

I asked an AI called the Lyric Machine on Poe to compose a poem.
The subject is the assault of Sword Beach on 6th June 1944 by DD swimming tanks from 13th/18th Royal Hussars.
Here is the end product after 1 iterations which gradually polished the composition.

Just in time for D-Day, this arrived yesterday. My game mat for Eisenhower covering the entire Normandy invasion area up to about 20 miles inland. Its enormous at almost 15 feet wide by 5 deep.
