Sums it up perfectly. Hair Hitler never gave a shit about working people, affordability, inflation or any of that. It was just cynical and performative shit to get votes. And it worked to perfection. #trumpIsALiarAndAFraud #affordability

This is why we need to rebuild union power.

Strong unions serve as a countervailing force to runaway corporate power and ensure workers share in the profits their labor creates.

Otherwise, the rich eat up a larger and larger share of the pie — like this:

All I know is my most normie friends, who do not follow politics, or at least want to talk about it much, are organizing, asking which groups to support...

We have a government full of rank amateurs playing in the professional league.

Wouldn't be so bad, but in this game much is irreversibly lost.

A dangerous blend of narcissistic incompetence and ruthless malevolence.

Others may have been able to press significantly more weight than me at the gym this afternoon, but I still had the cutest gym bag (tote bag w/ art by my 7 yo son back in the day; a fundraiser 4 his school many moons ago).

Remember: The richest 1% evade over $160 billion in taxes every year.

That amount would fund SNAP for a year with money to spare.

Ask yourself who the real freeloaders are.

The only what’s on this administration’s central radar makes any kind of sense is when you remember that a rapacious real estate mogul is, in fact, your president…
WOW: The White House says the president's MAIN PRIORITY is his BALLROOM. SNAP is ending. Subsidies for health care are gong to double and in some instances quadruple plan premiums. The government is shut down. The cost of living is through the roof. And his priority is his ballroom.

Good on MIT for refusing the "compact". In addition 2 constitutional issues, I honestly can't see how any university could in good conscience agree 2 a compact so open-ended on what the administration could dictate, their institution would essentially exist @ the mercy of rule by monarch's decree.
"The Department of Education’s proposed 'compact for higher education' is unconstitutional and should be unequivocally rejected by universities" -- new from Amanda Shanor & @serenamayeri.bsky.social at @knightcolumbia.org
