it’s gotten to point where hubby cannot cover all of our bills now. we’re at the point where i’m asking for help from my family, specifically my mom. i don’t like asking for help regarding finances because my mom has a history of holding that over my head and i will have to pay her back or she will hold that over my head to manipulate me. i don’t want to be put in that situation more than once, so i will briefly explain what our situation is and why i post my kofi a lot and ask for donations.

in november 2024, i experienced a migraine episode that lasted almost 3 weeks. it landed me in the hospital twice and all the doctors said the same, it’s a migraine. i went on fmla for various months after that while i saw several specialist and neurologist. i was told the same, its just a very bad migraine. i was diagnosed with severe migraines & vertigo and uncontrollable headaches.
i eventually went back to work for a few months but then went back on fmla due to me missing so much work. my job really pushed me going back on fmla due to all the absences. eventually i used up all my fmla and was told i would be placed on permanent leave but i could be replaced any moment. this job was physically and mentally tiring and even more so with all these migraine episodes i was having. i was a glorified assistant manager so to speak at a school. i quit.
i survived a few months thanks to some short term disability payments i was getting and i still had health insurance but eventually it was cut off.
i currently work part time for a substitute teacher agency, i don’t make very much and getting assignments is difficult sometimes. it’s competitive and others can take your assignments.

my husband is the main bread winner at the moment but we are barely making it. he takes care of rent, the car notes, etc.
with what i make, i try to take care of my own payments but sometimes my hubby will have to cover for me. most of my paychecks go towards medical debit and credit card debit. which is a lot at the moment.
i still experience severe migraines/vertigo, dizzy spells & daily headaches. i’ve run out of my preventive headache meds so episodes are much more common and i do miss work because of these episode. on top of that i also suffer from chronic pelvic pain and those meds have run out as well.
i try my best to go work when im able but sometimes both chronic pain and migraines knock me down for a few days.

i have tried applying for disability but it was denied. according to the application, the disability needs to exceed a year. and i need a doctor to verify this. but every single dr note is not with out cost. (which i do not have)

i don’t do a lot of fun stuff anymore like going out to eat, shopping, etc. just because money is extremely tight. but every now and then my husband surprises me with a little treat, like going out to eat, buying me something i wanted, etc. so if i post something of the sort, that is why. and if anyone donates, please know its not being misused and it will go towards bills or debt.

i also felt the need to make this bc there are a lot of scammers and i don’t want to be bunched up with them.
this is humiliating to post and im ashamed & embarassed but at this point im just trying to survive. thank you for reading and for your support. mao
