You probably shouldn't throw away your current revision V5 if you already have one, but if you want to breadboard some electronics jumperlessly and are really stoked on the integrated OLED thing, I have them up in my store (along with some cheaper refurbished units.)

This is two fifths of a Fibonacci1024 (slices 2 & 3): 410 WS2812 RGB LEDs, matte black LED acrylic diffuser and wall mounting back plate, 476x303mm (18.7x11.9in), audio-reactive, driven with #Pixelblaze. Let me know if you're interested.

What I find really neat about the pattern in the previous post is if you watch any pixel it just smoothly blinks off and on at the same rate the entire time. The further the pixel is from the center the faster it blinks. It's a similar "incremental drift" as a pendulum wave:

Instead of pixels being only off or on you can use a wave function for brightness. The period of the wave is each pixels' radius, you get a much smoother pattern. The #Pixelblaze code is short & relatively simple: gist.github.com/jasoncoon/db...

You can 3D print your very own mini cartridge, or DM me and I'll send you one. 😁

Sam just told me he would pay any amount to overnight his "cool S" to Germany if you promise to wear it around your neck at C3. 😆

Ok but seriously, what am I going to do with a nearly 4-foot-tall (114 cm) Cool S, I've run out of wall space for such a thing.

Do I let it into the blank wall space I keep for professional video calls? Do I mount it on the ceiling over my bed??

I had my local Fedex print the labels on sticker paper. I also made stickers for the PCB and contacts, rather than 3D print them.

Aww, thank you! 🤗
