You probably shouldn't throw away your current revision V5 if you already have one, but if you want to breadboard some electronics jumperlessly and are really stoked on the integrated OLED thing, I have them up in my store (along with some cheaper refurbished units.)

This is two fifths of a Fibonacci1024 (slices 2 & 3): 410 WS2812 RGB LEDs, matte black LED acrylic diffuser and wall mounting back plate, 476x303mm (18.7x11.9in), audio-reactive, driven with #Pixelblaze. Let me know if you're interested.

What I find really neat about the pattern in the previous post is if you watch any pixel it just smoothly blinks off and on at the same rate the entire time. The further the pixel is from the center the faster it blinks. It's a similar "incremental drift" as a pendulum wave:

Instead of pixels being only off or on you can use a wave function for brightness. The period of the wave is each pixels' radius, you get a much smoother pattern. The #Pixelblaze code is short & relatively simple: gist.github.com/jasoncoon/db...

Does this count for #Genuary 2026 Day 3: Fibonacci forever...? 😁

In disc phyllotaxis, like Fibonacci256, lighting every N LEDs from the center produces a pattern. If N is from the Fibonacci sequence a spiral (or mesh of spirals) is produced because the divergence (angle of succession in a single spiral arrangement) approaches the golden ratio.

Just before Christmas, I finally put up the amazing Fibbinocci spiral flower light sculpture that I got from @evilgeniuslabs.org. Visitors to the house have raved about its patterns and how it adds a pleasant accent to our family den.

I have several Fibonacci1024 section LED PCBs, but not a full set. I will likely not be ordering more until the current tariff insanity stops (if ever), so I'm engraving & cutting acrylic to make them standalone pieces. Let me know if you're interested.

This morning I'm experimenting with using laser cut and etched black MDF wood for the back panel, instead of acrylic.

Interesting (in addition to Prusa releasing hardware CAD files and the new Open Community License) I had no idea the Dummy13 creator is being targeted by an illegitimate patent troll.
We're open-sourcing the full CAD files of the CORE One and CORE One L, released under a new license we built for the maker community. Read more about it in Josef's new article: blog.prusa3d.com/core-one-cad...
