I probably should be adding that Wikipedia is important but also a decentralised version of Discord is more than a little pressing too. I saw @revolt.chat the other day and I hope they are making e2e encryption a priority given what is/could be happening with Discord/Steam/Twitch.

Ok... Maybe I spent 30-40 minutes on it last night and at the end I ended up calling it a 'Foundation Shard' because when I stood back there was more than a few parallels.

But the other thing I'm working on is important too for different reasons.

If I was not already working on something fairly involved and important I would very much be looking at how to maintain a data version of Wikipedia with data sovereignty right about now.

If the TIkTok sale goes through this time then I hope there is a TikTok but Bluesky ready to go.

Not sure why every country on the planet doesn't have more of an issue with that then being every major social media platform being owned by the US.

Glad they are doing well, the de minimis exemption means I have cancelled every order I got in the last week.

It was already almost non-existent for US sales as it was since the change in US Government.

The LLM said sure we will do that, Ill just create this one directory called shared though and put files that are common to all 3 in that

We are copying and duplicating files that are shared because we are splitting the project up into separate directories

This is common working w/developers too
evilspyboy.bsky.social
I was just breaking up a big project that has 3 separate applications in the same directory because it was important for maintaining context for the LLM to be in one repo to start with, but that is going to change

I told it we are splitting them up and that they need to have standalone directories

I will say that working with large language model programming tools is a LOT like working with actual developers. Especially when you ask a very clear thing and it decides to do something completely off topic and you have to get into an argument and tell it explicitly each step to do something

Not a helpful answer for you but I use LLMs for rubber ducking when I have complex technical designs.

I don't know if you know what rubber ducking is, but this is helpful because for real people apparently I am very convincing and they don't question.

Which is less helpful for actually validating.

mRNA really is not getting as much praise as it should. I blame the anti-intellectualism rubbish, but ignore them because it is super cool.

You know how most appliances have an energy star rating on the box of some sort when you buy them? Robotic based devices like Roombas and up should have a chaos alignment chart.

The Bureau of Meteorology for Australia had a job listing for an Asset Manager and the assets included 'Tsunami Boys'

Version A - They misspelt Buoys
Version B - They have a crack team who are like tornado chasers but with boats
