and i appreciate your willingness to listen - i can understand ur POV and im sure you don’t mean harm. trans woman *may* benefit from privilege before transition i just don’t think it outweighs the pain they feel and i dont think they should feel guilt when they weren’t happy to begin with

everyone is affected by misogyny in a way and limiting that to only AFAB people can overlap with TERF rhetoric so it mostly just rubs me wrong when i hear stuff like this. i’ve seen trans women cry about the childhoods they never got to have because society never let them. it’s a very complex topic

i think the way you have to think about it is that while trans women may not have experienced misogyny like we have, they still experienced misogyny in a much different way. lots of expectations of meeting male roles, physical bullying, not dressing to a male standard, etc
