They look like some sort of waxcaps. Did they smell? Some waxcaps have strong and unusual smells.

It’s because drivers hold their phones and stare down at the screens and don’t look out. I see this all the time as I cross the bridge on my bike.

Ah cool! I haven’t seen those. It was a bit dry yesterday, I visited a few spots and saw only a few little fungi, some just starting. Depending on the rain, January and February tend to be very opulent fungi-wise. I’ll definitely visit again after some more rain.

Ah which one? I checked some spots but didn’t see much fungi, probably need more rain.

Wonderful, I’ll check it out!

I love this philosophy! Yes, limiting the options does spur creativity.

It shifts the mind from “what should I choose?” to “what can I make with this?” It has intrinsic cohesion.

In engineering we call it “constraining the problem” and it’s a first step towards coming up with optimized solution.

And it worked! There are many paths to it apparently. I appreciate your work bringing this joy to more people!

That’s how I fell in love with cardboard as a medium. Even use it in some of my engineering prototypes today (though I design it in software and cut with laser). It just brings back the joy of childhood!

She is trying to reuse materials - paper cup from her free sample at Costco, cutouts from tea boxes and other product packaging etc.

Kind of like our childhood when my brother and I did hoard stuff like this to build things because we could never afford a Lego set.

Ugh. Years ago I went through debilitating lower back issue. I tried the McKinsey method and the first pose brought immediate relief (essentially just laying flat on the floor face down) and later on the course helped me to heal fully. I wish you speedy recovery!

Haha you’re right! 😆

Lovely perspective!
