I read two opinion pieces on President Carter today, a quite dismissive one by George Will in the WP, and a second by Kristof in the NYT that I think well worth reading.

Quantum Computing is another of the “technically very hard but transformational if it works” technologies that has seen very large research investment. Much of the progress has been in private sector labs, & Google has announced a breakthrough
