Anyone who has been in an abusive relationship recognizes the "Look what you made me do!/Fighting back will only make it worse for you!" logic that runs through all of these admonishments.

And I'm not saying it wasn't them BEFORE 2003, but that's how long I've been politically AWARE enough to see it, and have watched it spiral further and further down the authoritarian hole since.

Republicans are fucking evil. End of fucking discussion.

Call it "the Right." Call it "the Conservatives." Call it "MAGA." A while back, they called themselves "the Tea Party." Sometimes, they try to say it's just "the Far Right."

It's the Republicans. It's been the Republicans.

I know America has problems. I know Christianity has problems. I know Capitalism has problems. I know 90% of the society I take place in every fucking day has fucking problems.

But there is ONE political party that EMBRACES those problems OPENLY.

I'm not okay with sexual abuse. I'm not okay with every single fucking day of my life being a roll of the dice on the world's stupid fucking encounter chart.

And I'm not okay with centrists or apologists "well actually"ing saying "this is how America's been, Democrats do it too," blah blah blah
