Proud gay dad, Liverpool since Shankly, Labour since Wilson, dog owner sin e retirement! Eternally European and deeply Woke. I block accounts that don't allow replies.
Sorry, I get jumpy when people start questioning what constitutes "the left".

I bet you hated the Brown/Blair governments and yet they did more to improve the lives of working and middle class people than any other administration in my almost 70 years.
They were far from perfect, but don't let that detract from the good they did.

This is a comment posted immediately after the election. Doesn’t exactly indicate undying love.

I despair at the divisions on the left and failure to focus on what we have in common. No wonder the right have been in power for most of my life- so depressing.

There are always divergent options, but the review does point out some glaring holes in the argument.
I try to be open minded, I wanted Corbyn to succeed, but he wasn't up to it (look how his new party is doing!). Now Starmer is coming up short too.

So you did, I'll take a look when I've got some time.

🤣🤣🤣

Your focus seems to be ad nominee attack rather than engaging in the real world. Enough.

Do you have links to these?

Did they vote Brexit because Labour failed to make the case against and it seemed like only Cameron was for remain?

Telling me to grow up when you've been making silly comments about flying pigs and Guardian reading, seems a bit rich!

You must get over your obsession with paedophilia.

"Paul Holden’s The Fraud poses as fearless investigation. In truth, it is denial: distortion, omission and conspiracy-minded wish-thinking aimed at a left still unwilling to face the Corbyn years."

All 'The Fraud' proves is that part of the left has learned nothing

If Corbyn hadn't worked so hard for Brexit against the wishes of the party, he might have enjoyed more support.
February 7, 2026 at 12:26 PM
So, he didn't resign or lose the 2019 election then, must have been a dream. Sorry my mistake
February 7, 2026 at 12:19 PM
Corbyn wasn't "brought down", he resigned after a disastrous election defeat to Bozo the clown.
February 7, 2026 at 12:13 PM
I thought Corbyn resigned after the disastrous 2019 election.

Politically house building will always trump climate change reduction. But I think they're more committed to green energy, note how they have scrapped the Tories' ban on onshore wind farms.

The Tories were reasonable on climate in the 2010s, but they have shifted significantly in recent years. Based on current policies, Labour are definitely better

You can't get abolition (or any) legislation through parliament efficiently without HOL support. So you have to create more in the first place
Seems illogical,but it's necessary.

No, we need to maintain a vigorous public campaign and try to get parents involved in this. But, seriously, parties of the left need to stop focusing on what divides us and recognise a common cause - that's a tough challenge.

Union action that impacts people (especially "families") will always be pounced on by our rabid right-wing media and portrayed as government weakness. They will call for, and support "strongman" action. Farage will be portrayed as the man for the job, not Polanski.
January 31, 2026 at 12:21 PM
I'm with you on taxing the rich, but its Farage who will benefit from your campaign.
