I've been a politics nerd for 40 years now and all of my experience tells me that Farage must come crashing down at some point - but is it just wishful thinking on my part?

Quite so. In normal times they could insure against a Reform Ltd victory by continuing to vote Labour. Looks like Plaid were the happy beneficiaries of a double protest vote.

Surely they have to try to 'make Brexit work' before announcing that it's impossible. They won't get voter buy in for rejoining until they have been seen to at least try to make it work.

A slight over generalisation - I'm over 50, not a graduate and occasionally patronise Greggs yet I'd rather poke both of my eyes out than vote for Reform Ltd.

Agreed. I hope to see us rejoin in my lifetime but it’s a good 20 years away, and longer still if Reform Ltd seizes power.

The EU will not permit us to rejoin and so it’s a pointless exercise, and for as long as Reform Ltd continues to trade, we will not be allowed to to rejoin. It’s not our decision.

Not going to happen until both the Conservatives and Reform Ltd either cease to exist or become pro European along with the Mail, Telegraph and S*n.
