- what changed art for me is to think in shapes. it not only helps with things like anatomy and drawing from imagination, but it can also help with shading and understanding how light interacts with an object

- weird thing ive noticed on youtube is that they say an art piece should be done in a few days, bc any more will have u overthinking and overdoing things. i think there is some truth, but dont feel pressured to rush a piece bc u will focus more on time rather than enjoying the process.

- if theres a style u like, study it. dont copy it ofc, but figure how and why they draw the way they do and try drawing it urself

- u do not need to do lineart. for the longest time, i felt lost bc i didnt understand the digital art "process," but just do whatever feels right

some more:

- despite how bad and embarrassing they may look, save ur old pieces to look back on. u may not feel ur art growth until u look at old work

- personal preference, for digital art, use a bigger canvas size (i use around 3000x3000px) for a less pixelated image
