I tried last year in a rented 2wd pickup, but that truck was not up to the task.
There’s gotta be someone that’ll rent an ATV to me for 1 day.

A few years ago I found a lovely creek full of native brook char/trout. I’ve fished it at least 50 times and I’ve never seen even one other person out there fishing. It’s paradise. #flyfishing #brooktrout #flytying

I realize this is a long shot, but do any of you folks in the #flyfishing community have any contacts or guides that can get me to carpenter canyon creek near Pahrump Nevada? I attempted to get there last year but the rental truck was not up to the absolutely brutal roads leading up spring mountain.

I never forced my passion for #flyfishing on my children. So I was delighted when my 17 year old son came home for the weekend and asked if I could teach him. Here he is going for a native Appalachian brookie. He hooked 2 but he’ll need more practice to bring one to hand on a barbless hook.
