That’s beautiful. I miss fishing with my old man. But now I get to fish with my son.

A father is the only man in the world that wants you to be better than him in every way. I’ll be thrilled when my son catches more fish than me.

A few years ago I found a lovely creek full of native brook char/trout. I’ve fished it at least 50 times and I’ve never seen even one other person out there fishing. It’s paradise. #flyfishing #brooktrout #flytying

I never forced my passion for #flyfishing on my children. So I was delighted when my 17 year old son came home for the weekend and asked if I could teach him. Here he is going for a native Appalachian brookie. He hooked 2 but he’ll need more practice to bring one to hand on a barbless hook.
