Just a cat in a human suit. The death of print magazines put me on retirement. Sometimes I still get to write words.

"Aren't you, *the* Matthew Arcilla?" "I used to be."
I can just stream Xbox to my phone

My smartphone is one of those models that got blocked by the Sinophobic Google Play Store, so I don't play games on my phone unless I sideload them and even then some games still demand a Google Play login

It's a pretty close guess I'll DM you the answer hahaha

Also I don't live in the United States so assume whatever is modern or modern finished in the last ten years. :D That means it's not the Justice League TV movie.

Nope! And I like Gen V! It's genuinely interesting in ways that The Boys gave up on.

Take a guess!
February 8, 2026 at 6:32 AM
Maybe. I don't want to project too far a guess, but I was responding directly to your mention of "sincere vision," and I imagine a sincere vision is harder to pull off with a bureacratic army that numbers in the thousands than it is in a small monument built by a team in the low hundreds.

I'm sure a lot of factors are involved but there has to be a difference when it's a vision of 80-200 people and not a vision of 500-5,000. The swelling of team sizes were concerning back then but who knew It Could Get Worse.

If you aren't channeling Catholic guilt into depraved habits then what is it even good for

I'm sure that 'objectively' is 100% not a totally subjective parameter. /s

There is a Curly fandom?!?!?! I have never encountered this but it's one thing to empathize with an effed up motherfucker it's another thing to be a 'fan'

Some I've spoken to take a strange sort of pride in this. Being asked to be the driver -- no pun intended -- of a company's product, while being entrusted with keeping this a secret is taken as an honor by minds too captured by corporatism or desperate to avoid poverty to question it.

I think it's perfectly understandable that many people feel a deep sense of resentment and disenfranchisement for the time capitalism has stolen from them, but the answer is not to embrace capital's machine that pretends to show you an inner life you aren't having.

Wtf I own several Japanese children's encyclopedias and they always mention sweet potatoes, are we now being refuted by a guy whose source is "my Japanese partner"?

That sorta makes them blowjob brothers :D
