Remember when it took weeks to get a blood test ? What happened? and why was the 4.8B privatization contract canceled ? We don’t know because the auditor general was not given all the information, but we know a lot of taxpayers money was wasted.

This government needs some independent sunshine.

The government didn’t want to appear to be investigating itself so hired a former judge to investigate. The judge confirmed that he can only learn what is shared with him because unlike a public inquiry, the investigation doesn’t have the needed powers.

Citizen must call for a public inquiry!!
This is why we need a public inquiry (as even Wyant seems to imply).

Jane Goodall left a legacy that we call be part of. As I grieve the loss of such wonderful and inspiring human, I am reminded that the work Jane dedicated her life to should continue for generations to come.

Check the @janegoodallcan.bsky.social and be an active participant in that legacy.

The Alberta Next Panel is very exclusive. The event in Calgary today is 50 KM from where I live, is unreachable by public transit and even if are able to take 4 buses to get close then walk, you will arrive after the doors are closed because the location wasn’t sent until less than 2 hours. 😵‍💫

Provincial and federal government have to start rowing together on climate leadership. This is a teamwork challenge!
More than half of Canada’s emission cuts will come from shared federal-provincial policy. 📉

Our latest analysis shows just how critical it is for all governments to work together to cut emissions with policy that spurs low-carbon development. ⬇️

Our latest early estimate of national emissions shows Canada’s progress flatlined in 2024, putting the 2030 target out of reach.

Canada is at a fork in the road: the country needs a policy reboot from all governments to get emissions back on track.

Some decisions cost lives. Governments should be careful and listen to experts, facts and wrestle with trade offs, not only go with what is politically advantageous. If governments stop being thoughtful, everyone loses.

PS -Should governments stop collecting taxes because a majority wants it?

On this Labor Day, remember that many gig workers still face unfair conditions. Millions of people provide essential services but lack basic protections. Gig-economy workers need access to collective bargaining, paid leave and healthcare, and broader cultural recognition of the value of their work.

Today I went for a run and saw this lady who have never done something like this in her life. This is a sign that the silent majority in Alberta is paying attention.
