Hi I'm Iris, I'm a solo game dev working on a racing game called Stick Drift and sometimes I stream too.

I'm working using UE5, Blender, Zbrush, Houdini, Substance Painter, Substance designer, Topogun and RizomUV to make it!

Not just full games cancelled—entire characters and plot lines removed or changed, leaving less time for making the *rest of the game better*, to try avoiding a small and malicious contingent of voices.

I was just like "ok I guess I can make a wrong decision here".

I think fair play to the devs for sticking to their guns on the overall message of the game for that though.

To show how blind I was going in, I somehow thought it was a hack and slash with lesbians...

I have never been more wrong in my assessment of screenshots on a store page.

Basically all I knew was the game had lesbians and really good reviews.

Don't even read the store page, I didn't and I'm so happy I got to experience it that way.

The wire for my headset broke in the worst place last week and after a lot of prying and trying to pull it out I finally decided to just take the headset apart and force it out from the inside.

Thankfully it's a removable wire and not a built in one so I didn't have to buy a whole new headset.

For their first project, my Kids and Society students have to create an infographic clarifying a common misconception about "kids these days." I'd prefer that they not use AI to create their projects, so I made my own infographic explaining why : )
