bringing back a classic

an adaptation of the sandy loam chart, aka, a triangle where each side is an axis from 0 100, forming triangular little pockets in the center in a pseudo-3-axis chart form. the three axes are "hoinky sploinky" "doinky woinky" and "rinky dinky," each with a "pure" form (penis music, furret walk, and ukelele covers respectively). there is a minor screed here about electroswing sucking, which it does.

The delightful 1980s Mac game Continuum is now playable in a browser. Originally released under a joke "send us beer if you like it" licence after issues with its publisher, it's a Gravitar and Asteroids-inspired black-and-white space game that even John Romero told me was awesome. continuumjs.com

more and more people I know are leaving the country or seriously considering it and it's not something I want to do and in some ways it seems drastic but I keep thinking: would it be better to leave germany in 1930 or in 1939?

parallels are not exact obviously, and I don't think the attempt to turn chrli krk into some sort of reichstag fire event is sticking. what's missing is a fullblown economic crisis, and I'm very worried about what happens when the ai bubble pops (and it will)

People once again need to internalize that "generative AI" is a small subset of machine learning, that machine learning is a critical tool that you cannot run a site without past a certain volume Bluesky has long since exceeded, and that it is FAR more reliable than user reporting.
