Still sorting photos from this past August & attending the World Congress of Herpetology in Kuching, Malaysia. It's nice to get to relive some fun finds again when going through the photos - I'd forgotten that I had photographed this gorgeous spiny slender toad (Ansonia spinulifer) in Sabah. 🌎🐸

Another two-way-old fossil (geologically & culturally) - a Miocene frog, Palaeobatrachus (~13 mill. years; UZH Paleo.coll.).
Found ~1770 in Oehningen, it came to Lavater's collection in ZH, where Johs. Gessner had it illustrated for Andreae's 1776 book on his CH-travels #EarlyModern #FossilFriday 🐸
