A recent project really highlighted the fact that I need more practice drawing faces. Also, it's been several years since I last did a self portrait. I wanted to experiment with creating a 3 color separation using Krita's screentone brush. I set the layers to multiply to emulate transparent ink.
A hastily drawn Christmas greeting. Best I could do with the holiday burnout.

Oh great, I got the bus driver who doesn't believe in opening the back door - again. And there's a really smelly rider today, so we could really use the extra air circulation at the stops.

One positive from all this AI slop flooding the Internet is I've grown a lot less critical of the work of other flesh-and-blood artists. Congrats to everyone who actually picks up a damned pencil and does the work for real.

At some point in the last hour Google broke the image upload feature in the desktop version of Voice again. Drag and drop from a browser window is currently not an option.

I tried to find a photo of Christopher Plummer riding a bike, and instead I found this photo of a guy named Chris who's a plumber, which is even better.

I'd rather see Netflix take over Warner Bros than Paramount, but honestly, I'd prefer to go back before the Discovery merger. These acquisitions always result in projects getting canned and workers getting fired to cover the cost of the merger.

I haven't put up any Christmas decorations this year. My apartment is still too full of boxes needing to be unpacked to fit a tree in here. But the view of all the city lights from my windows is providing plenty of cheer.

The self balancing mechanism on my Ryobi stick vac broke. I can't see a way to fix it, and Home Depot is on the boycott list for helping ICE, so I can't just buy a replacement part. Maybe I can find a used one on eBay - but that will have to wait until the holidays are over.

The bus driver had to be shouted at twice by riders this morning. Twice he failed to make requested stops. This is not the first time I've encountered this problem with this particular driver.

It's hard to find selfies from 10 years ago. But I found this picture from 11 years ago, so close enough.

I still have that cyan shirt and Nuwisha necklace packed away somewhere.

I like having a news feed on Android's leftmost screen, but I don't want it to be Google's. I've tried to find a way to replace it, but so far all I can find is how to disable it.
