So, amateur analysis here. remembering Suzuka last year, the number one thing is starting position of the front runner. However, the teams that tended to make moves looked strongest in S3, which makes sense as it is the lead up to the DRS zone. This year Merc and Williams look good there. Cont. #F1

Yeah the Red Bull situation is harsh, but this is probably the best thing for Liam, right? I don’t see trundling around in the back in a “top” car being good for his confidence or stock. At least now he has the chance to rebuild and perform at a lower stress level. #F1

There’s still a lot of races to go, but man this looks dire for Lawson. There’s of course an acclimatization period, but this is pretty rough. Stinks because I just listened to his Beyond the Grid and feel for him. I guess Max’s teammate is like a GoT character, never get too attached. #F1

Little (massive) addendum here, I guess I fat fingered a number on the Oscar-Lando stats, and while they were still pretty far apart, they weren't quite to 2.5 average. Still, their discrepancy is pretty big. Here is the data on finish position #F1

So reviewing the teammates is taking a little longer than expected, but I looked at finishing position differences between teammates and taking that as an average (ie, Driver 1 - Driver 2... / total races), and, well, Red Bull was the most mismatched. The second most might surprise you.... #F1

So, there's been a lot of chatter about the points difference between Ver and Per, but are/were they the most discrepant pairing on the grid? This weekend I am going to look at average qualifying gaps, average finishing positions, and average race pace to see where the pairings are. #F1

Looks like the Calendar is having a little swapping next season. The most noticeable moves are Bahrain and Saudi Arabia occurring 42 days later than 2024, and China and Spain occurring earlier (29 days and 22 respectively). #F1

Got the live tracker on the dashboard already counting down the days. Looks like we are having 11 breaks that are 2 weeks or longer next season. Curious what the sport old-timers think about the longer seasons. #F1

10 place penalty hurts. But assuming Carlos can take pole or lead into S1, S2 and S3 look better for Ferrari. Still it is a tall ask and 21pts is a lotta points. #f1 #abudhabigp

I don't think it looks good for HAAS going into this P6 battle. They've only finished >5pts 3 times as far as I can tell (Austria, UK, and Mexico), and only 3 times with both drivers in the points. It ain't over til it's over, but it ain't looking good. #HAAS #AbuDhabiGP #F1
