He was a UK MEP representing the UK in the EU parliament. He also kept most of the cash at his home in Anglesey.

The EU should have an interest but likely won't due to Brexit

He will be asked about it for about 1 day. If that.

Especially the 17 who've taken their own lives? The audacity.

How you choose just one headline in these unhinged times is beyond me.

Well done though. This is a belter.

No idea who Ranj Alaaldin is, but if he was expecting anything other than a depressing read that talks the country down from the Telegraph then he's never read it before.

I voted on the strength of a manifesto pledge they've already reneged.
March 27, 2025 at 4:49 PM
Do they think all those impacted will just forget about this at election time?

Have a nice 4 years.

It'll be back to populist racism and performative cruelty by the right after that.

And people will cheer for it

We gave Labour a chance and they're fucking us over a barrel of turds.

Not again.
March 27, 2025 at 9:57 AM
That wasn't the case with literally tens of thousands of victims of the loan charge who were clearly mis-sold what were presented to them as compliant tax and payroll services.

But you asked what will happen and I told you.

Your flippant response suggests you're not really across any of this.
March 26, 2025 at 11:46 AM
No. HMRC's approach would be to ignore the scheme promoter entirely, place the entire blame on the victim of the scam and then start destroying their life.

Entirely on brand.
March 26, 2025 at 10:27 AM
Again no. HMRC isn't interested in prevention. Only punishment. And only of the victims.

They can just stop having avocado on toast. Not sure why they're complaining tbh.

Loved the new episodes. Such a good show. Glad you were able to bring us more of it.
March 1, 2025 at 4:47 PM
Loved your performances in Picard and Enterprise.

Would you do more Star Trek if approached about the right role?
March 1, 2025 at 4:31 PM
Sorry if I'm being stupid, but is there a point in penning the book under SJ Fleet if you're telling everyone it's you?

It comes to something when empathy is a radical idea.

But, here we are.

You've just made my year.

This feels like an easy fix. Pass a law saying an article correcting incorrect content must be displayed on the same page number and with the same prominence as the content being corrected was when first published.

It'd take about 20 minutes I reckon. Maybe 30 with a brew.
February 1, 2025 at 2:25 PM
Talk is cheap and this country is broke.

Politicians have become so ineffective they resemble commentators - merely turning up on every media platform to remind us how bad things are.

There's no plan to fix it all

We've never paid more tax and received so little in return.

Where does it all go?
January 25, 2025 at 3:44 PM
He's going to fail then.

Populism thrives by claiming it can fix problems easily.

The only way to defeat it is to fix the problems and show how much work was needed to do so.

He's basically saying here that he's going to argue with people.

Great, we'll eat that shall we?
