At some point I failed to find hope that the powers of the office of the president will be kept in check by the other branches of government during the Trump administration. What will it take some of these people to realize we are slowly devolving to a fascist, authoritarian state?
Funny thing: Trump will argue *both* that he's achieved total pacification at the border *and* that we're still subject to a migrant "invasion," which is the trigger to grant himself broad powers against the invaders. MAGA won't even notice the contradiction. How will he do this? All explained here:
Absurdly, Trump says he'll have this power until he declares the "invasion" over. But why would he ever allow it to be over? He wouldn't!
