YEP
She's been in pretty much everything since the early 90s haha

I know I shouldn't crunch and I do have a lot to work on but also

Misty May Otaku no Video has been on my list for ages and would be relatively easy

(I'll be good. Also if I crunched I'd do Corvette lmao)

Oh my god

She's also apparently done half my backlog (Queen from Miyuki-chan, Rune Venus) or associated with my backlog (Mink's mom in Dragon Half, Stashia in Megami Paradise)

Too bad I threw away my Mink cosplay because it was so busted 😭 oh well I'd freeze as her

Technically she's the voice of a lot of my obscure blorbos haha Planning to get my Megami Paradise poster signed at least!

But nothing I have a cosplay for handy 😭

Kikuko Inoue singlehandedly holding up the 90s bad ecchi industry (very affectionate, clearly I'm a huge fan)

Mad that the voice of one of my obscure blorbos will be at Kumo and I don't have time to crunch out the cosplay 😭 I'm planning her for ALA! Why can't it be one con later!

🪽Whispering love with her red lips🪽

Photo too noisy to be usable? Nah, just slap some film grain on that and lean into the ~spooky~ aesthetic. I'm loving my Haniel cryptid era

Mad at hakama, doing apron now
This is two fabric widths (one full panel in front and two half panels for the back). Hemmed the edges and did a single turn on the bottom edge. I'm lazy and using the selvage for seam finishing lmao

I'll do the ruffles later, but I started cutting (ripping) them

IT LOOKED LIKE A NORMAL ROLL ONLINE

I can’t stop laughing. This thing is so big I think it’s wider than a twin bed

Me: hey babe, why did you order a barrel of bubble wrap?
@silencedrowns.com , not realizing the scale of the bubble wrap she bought: for wigs, you know?
Me: I think we have enough for your wigs
A comically large roll of bubble wrap so big it takes up most of a chaise. Blahaj and 7up can for scale.

Sewn up into a skirt with an invisible zipper
I'll probabaly need to redo the zip because it's a bit too big oops

I'm doing a fake hakama-styled skirt rather than a real hakama for simplicity (plus the waist is mostly covered lol)

I'm currently mad at my default Shizuku-tan so I'm switching to different Shizuku-tan lmao

Front is pressed. Leaving it there for a bit to cool

I used the FWD poly/cotton twill so that the poly content would really hold the pleats

Okay NOW you can ask me about my front pleats

I have the traditional 7 pleats -- two on back, 5 on front -- which means the pleats are asymmetrical, which is a huge pain, but I think I got it

I did get it perfect once and then realized it needs to fit my underbust instead of waist and redid them 🫠

I put a seam up the center back to imitate the piecing you would do with a kimono bolt and used that as a guide for my two back pleats

Don't ask me about my front pleats 😅

Thankfully symmetrical box pleats are easy because once you get one side, you can just kind of line them up on the other

The base fabric for the kimono is FWD 100% cotton broadcloth, which will have an overlay of this lace I got locally

I knocked off a yukata I own for a pattern (it's rectangles!) And already cut part of the fabric, but as you can see, Casval likes to be involved, hence why I can't cut the lace lol
Some cut, folded, and labeled black fabric. The fabric is covered in orange cat fur.

Someone decided that I'm not cutting out fabric right now, so I'm working on the hakama instead

Cosplay build thread: Shizuku-tan (kimono version) from My Dress Up Darling

I love the maid outfit/school festival version and have a chance to shoot in an aquarium, so......

Oguri sounds close to "Ogórek" which means "Cucumber" in Polish, and I thought it was funny #umamusume #oguricap
