There’s a nugget of truth in the misinfo- we certainly do have a massive issue with over incarceration of poor people, but spreading misinformation about particular rehab programs doesn’t help that.

There’s also this Reddit thread in the wildfire sub. According to these guys the fire positions are highly coveted, earn better wages than most inmates and time off sentences, and often find positions with CalFire after release. - www.reddit.com/r/Wildfire/s...
