…Elon Musk is going to buy TikTok isn’t he?

Elite democrats giving bland speeches about democracy and continuity on the same stage as Elon Musk doing literal sieg heil is such a perfect microcosm of the state of our country, it’s almost too on the nose.

Some nuance to add to the discussion about “slave firefighters” I’m seeing on Instagram. I’m becoming increasingly concerned about my community’s propensity to simply believe infographics because they confirm prior biases. You can’t change the world if you don’t actually know what’s happening.

You really gotta hand it to Octavia Butler. Parable of the Sower is turning out to be spot on about almost everything, once again.

My theory is that a lot of what’s driving the Trump movement is people’s desire to be free of all social constraints and moral rules governing their behavior. It boils down to “I want to do exactly what I want at all times and not feel bad about it”. I have a story to illustrate this-

I am utterly convinced that if the Democrats ran AOC in 2028 they would win in a landslide. There’s a very deep well of working class anger at the brutal unfairness of our society, and it’s a crime that the Dems fumbled the bag to the point that a literal billionaire was the one to tap into it.

Fascinating reporting that illuminates a crucial aspect of Putin’s transformation of Russian society
Just four months after his release from Russian prison, Evan Gershkovich has the lead byline on an incredible story about the ultrasecret Russian agency behind his kidnapping. He and the Journal identified the precise individuals involved. Astonishing. www.wsj.com/world/russia...
