i couldn't ever bring myself to hate you as i’d like. she/her
You must do an evergreen swag bc bunnies, paper or real, don’t smell like christmas. If cleverly situated, even the most ambitious cats cannot fully take down a swag

I was feeling like this and then replaced 4 old pillows with 2 new pillows (embarrassingly overdue) and I am a New Woman

Have you played this kid Yo La Tengo? Maybe next time he’ll describe Pinkwater as “Georgia and a lizard are my friends”

It’s the spiritual truth! It’s the truth vibes-wise. He’s just trying to explain he checked Hoboken out of the library

Btw based on dolphins some whales might be assholes but that’s their prerogative, who are humans, collectively, to judge

Tbh always assumed they are complete people and I really don’t think ai is a whiff of an iota of a person, and can’t tell us anything truly soulful, like what a whale says or why a cat curls up in an unexpected lap

We had this one (great illustrations) but I see Maurice Sendak illustrated it too!

It might just need to come out for a winter evening!

Featuring a bad cat (Simpkin) who repents at the last moment, it’s a lovely book

Yep! They do the buttonholes for the mayor’s coat for Christmas day!!

Wait, you have the Thomas! With a good illustrator! Still recommend the Thomas record. Also a copy of The Nutcracker could be fun but it’s also scary!!

Some heavy hitters from my childhood. A Child’s Christmas in Wales is a read-aloud must, or find a recording of Dylan Thomas reading it

Aww one of my friends’ daughters is very tall and gangly like her dad and would sometimes be expected to behave like a second grader instead of a 4 year old, baby teeth notwithstanding!

The brittle was soooo good it disappeared very quickly and I am enjoying my little dessert snacks of the rest bit by bit

Half a stick plus a greased pan already underway but then I start winging it as the recipes turn from baking to cooking-by-vibes

His skincare routine is the amazing nature pelt covering most of his skin up to the eyeballs, plus rejuvenating yelling

I don’t think I am fundamentally a bird person at heart in terms of committing to a rescued bird for life, but boy do I missed my sister’s cockatiel, a lovely bird bred in captivity by a friend who adored sitting on my dad’s shoulder while he ignored her and joining anyone to brush their teeth

Thank god! He’s hard to read and I didn’t already know him but you give me hope! Maisie is the only cast member I already knew and I was feeling a little deflated
November 24, 2025 at 5:15 AM
19 is going to be a fun one! First American cast member, there bc he’s a fanatic and knows how to play the heel, plus Fatiha and Stevie. It’s balanced craziness and excellent and I ought to remember the last two because they round it out well

But this, the after church meal, is *exactly* the north american tradition I am thinking of, echoed in my own life but front and center in old cookbooks and novels i absorbed growing up
