The alderpersons who did not condemn the arrest Ald. Fuentes by ICE are predominantly in the racist conclaves around the edges of the city. Unsurprisingly, these neighborhoods have strong ties to law enforcement.

We lived in the 41st for ten years. Best thing I did for for my kids was leave.

ICYMI on insta, the JER band has to drop off our shows in Dallas, Austin, and New Orleans :(

Touring is hard, and volatile. It’s just not financially possible for me to swing these dates. I promise I’ll be back asap! Already working on next year!

Full transparency: touring is hard and rigorous work. It’s already incredibly volatile as is, and I’ve had a lot of unexpected expenses come up from the last tour, traveling out to Japan, and in my personal life that has exhausted any financial ability to make traveling out to Texas for these shows impossible. A lot of love and work went into making these shows possible, but I fear forcing these shows to happen would truly leave me in a spot that could jeopardize my future of being able to play music at all. At the end of the day, I am one person and the financial outcome of how each tour turns out falls on me. I am sorry to the fans in Austin, Dallas, and New Orleans. I promise we are already working on getting back through those areas on future tours. I never thought I would get to a position where I have to drop off shows but it’s just not on the cards right now. I’m working as hard as I can to make sure this doesn’t happen again!
