avivore terms have been blurry for most of human awareness of em and didn’t get settled until relatively recently. in particular, the Falconidae didn’t get split off from the Acciptriformes (literally all other avivores) until this millenium!

i am abjectly terrified of the project that lays ahead of us no matter what happens in thirteen months, which is … executive-branch employees across the board just don’t obey legislation anymore. city cops don’t obey city laws. state legislatures are jokes. federal congress, lol

what i AM worried about is that the people who currently occupy federal buildings may simply … not leave them. elections aren’t magical — the house is already subverting elections by simply not seating the elected member

one reason i am not particularly worried about this is that there is exactly z e r o law, habit, or even vague idea anywhere in american governance or history that says our elections can ever be stopped

we had elections in 1862 and 1864!

all of the anti robot slurs are slightly rebadged anti human slurs because none of the words used to describe robots carry emotional valence with us but words used to describe people do. slurring the robot isn’t just bad for you it’s granting it humanity it doesn’t deserve

i'm not even anti-slur. not even here, just in general. slurs are the spiciest words and are therefore awesome. artful useful of slurs is glorious, but difficult to attain without also conveying true malice
