oh yeah if you've been there done that it is definitely less of an option. could just treat it as a vessel to cosmetics if that interests you. there's a lot of stuff and from level 10 to like 34 i racked up 50k bronze which got me some sets, mounts, and stuff. pretty generous but not for everyone

if you still play WoW/are interested i can recommend legion remix that just came out last night, there's /a lot/ of new cosmetics like mounts/gear/pets/toys/etc and the communal rush has been a blast tbqh.

no for real i agree so bad. it has stuck with me since he said it, i was NOT expecting it. i'd die to see it more. most protags either have a happy or tragic end. i want to see a protag of any story go through hell and realise that they like that hell. not out of trauma, but because they /like/ it

it's always framed as some succumbing to corruption but i am fascinated by the psychology of it being a consensual rebirth wherein they discover that they, themselves, *like* destruction. it's a really fucking specific dynamic tho, maybe not Entirely what u were asking. but i think about it a lot.

i know it has been said already but inevitability. the idea that nothing you do can change the end, nothing matters, etc., which i sometimes see posed psychologically or as a cycle of despair but i dont necessarily see it as truth.

i also dont think protagonists succumb to villainy enough. cont
