I will go further and say that it wasn’t just Elon’s idea. Meta / Facebook who created sustainable structures for misinformation and conspiracy theories to spread on the Internet in the first place wanted to sell verification too but were under public microscope for their involvement in the former.

Yes like I know everyone needs a job / needs to make money and I work with same population but I think educators have failed to transmit to students that there are other ways in life to make money (perhaps more money) and find purpose besides working for a large corporation.
