A few words about “peaceful protests.”

1. At least 5% of people are uncontrollable assholes and will behave badly in any situation, let alone a high-tension one. So a large protest without ANYONE throwing shit, yelling slurs or for violence, etc. is likely not achievable.

Big update to scienceimpacts.org: See the devastating impact of cancelled NIH grants across the country, and how losses at specific institutions ripple out to surrounding communities.

This is all in addition to the future losses that would result from cutting funds for indirect costs of research.
