"A novelty for the lazy" absolutely f&$@in nails it.

Energy requirements for AI mean that the only way for the bubble not to burst would require companies to multiply their carbon footprint to an unimaginable degree. Right now, while AI is barely functional and mostly a novelty for the lazy, it requires so much energy that data centers rival cities.

I just got an email regarding my "Facebook User Privacy Settlement – Notice of Upcoming Settlement Payment."

So there's that.

Yes! & The way you put the image under pressure opening it up for so much exploration... Nicely done!

Thanks so much! Wrote that during high summer here in Sacramento, but I think it definitely has a bit of spooky season feel.

I was really blown away by both of these, but especially "SCIENTISTS CONFIRM BIRDS MIGRATE TO ESCAPE HARSH WINTERS." The repetition there like hammer-blows, so much force...

I'm excited for Limp Bizkit, but I'm a little worried about Antifa...
Question
I'm sick and tired of seeing these thugs terrorize big events and am worried that they will try to interrupt Limp Bizkit's set. My gf (F19) and I (M31) are going to our first Lollapalooza and are concerned about the growing threat around the city

What’s the word where you’re from that, when pronounced exactly as it looks, identifies a tourist immediately?

“You were wasted on this world.” A poem by Natalie Shapero.
How'd You Get This Number

I couldn't stomach a movie about it, after
it happened to me—that's why I make lists
of plausible additional upcoming shocks,
then scramble to watch all films on these subjects
while I still find them fun. You remember the one
with the woman walking forever in winter?
Everyone loves that actor, but they found the plotting
shoddy and too spare. They said she was
wasted on that role. Like you were wasted

on this world—I'm the real one who belongs here,
who suits its din and disuse.
After you’d gone, I prayed for myself
to outdo my prior low era, so that I could feel
solace at the thought of how you never
lived to see it. I tithed, I ignited
a votive. I did not have to wait long.

I understand that they gave somebody 150 million to be the new boss of CBS. I just want to say, if these people are ever looking to do more novel things with their money, for 150 million dollars I will write an album every day for a year. I'll do it, too. try me

A successful moment of poetry won't let you calculate anything, for as long as it lasts, it is a mental force that silences all other mental forces.

Oh we're fine & thankfully seems nobody died in this. Could have been worse. No cars hit but the occupants of the helicopter taken to the hospital. It was about half mile down from our house.
