Anyways, I'm only doing this because I randomly saw this modern day Max Ernst painting by Amne. So you gotta see it too.
Green watercolor painting of a forest within a tree within a deer. Deer leave the forest within the tree to peer up at the large tree deer. It's very calm, but the feeling of finding yourself lost in the woods is strong. You're pretty sure you want to be lost.

That's a lot of people! (bigger than the town i'm from)

I paint with watercolors, got very landscape feeling last year while messing around with abstract shapes. Deer is from night shots of deer in the yard, yellow green is a path by the house, flowers were from my garden.
strange deer with growths of branches and bones growing from his head like antlers. turquoise, gold and white. very calm and watchful brackish colored landscape of trees in a forest, and roots or shadows underneath a slash of gray grassy land. three abstract organic forms. one is green and blue, looks like curling seaweed, next is green and yellow, shaped like an eye, and the last is vivid pink, weird growing shapes. shasta daisy studies of flowers that goofed up in some way, one is doubled up flowers on a single stem, the other has petals like a messed up mouth of badly growing teeth.

Watercolor dryads from this month. Thankfully I had some watercolor on my pallets so I was able to get a bit of work done while waiting on new tubes coming in.

Last picture was the day I spotted them. Gray/white is Barnaby, black one is Birch. Both girls.

Good morning! I'm a watercolor artist. Fantasy/surreal/abstract fine art kind of work :)
Landscape painting in blues and blacks. It looks like a forest, but sometimes looks like a singular tree with a door of light. The trees part down the middle to let in the light A pale deer peers at the viewer with antlers that look like bones and branches, the shape of leaves suggest he's standing in the forest. Teal, gold, and white paint. A forest in brackish green and gray. Roots and branches raise upwards as well as reach downwards. The trees are translucent. Like they're only a memory. A raven with two heads splitting apart. The bird takes up the whole page, flying upward. Dark gray, blue and gold.

Most likely the siblings from this year, but they spent a good 20-30 min pushing each other back and forth out of the way of the squirrel feeder last night.

Went to the St Louis Art Museum today for the Kiefer exhibit and it was *amazing*
You don't realize how large these pieces are until you're in front of one and that's all you can see.

Wanted to try some new color combos, even accidentally started using a fav one but made myself veer off (shadow violet, horizon blue, Bohemian green, and forest blue)

Huh, looks like the last time I drew dryads had been in '22 so... I'm going to make that the theme for December's sketches.

I have some good reference images of some gnarly roots and branches and tree stumps to use too.
